JOBS IN THE TECH INDUSTRY

    I would be discussing on my possible careers that I would like to pursue in the future. I am not quite sure on my future  career but i do have possibilities and ideas, i am still fairly young and still have time but as well time is moving quickly and soon need to make a decision so i know exactly what path to take on for my future. 


     I am considering on  becoming a massage therapist. I have been told that i have " magic hands" and i never thought of it by pursuing a career. I mostly saw it as a simple kind compliment. massage therapists relieve pain, reduce stress, unwind bound-up muscles and just plain make people feel better. With more than 80 types of treatments, massage therapists have many different ways to deliver this relief. Massage therapists can specialize in deep-tissue, acupressure, reflexology, orthopedic, sports massage and other areas. Often, massage therapists become experts in several modalities, all of which require specific skills and techniques. The length and type of massage provided typically depends on the client's condition and desires. My aunt is a massage therapist so usually if i have any questions or concerns she educates me. She did tell me that it's very tiring and time consuming, it's like you connect with your patient.  

    I had as well been considering on becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist.  Its been said that i would be volunteering to interject yourself in the middle of sticky intimate relationships. Many of the people I would  see on a daily basis mostly would be experiencing or   experienced emotional or mental trauma. I would as well be  spending days on end discussing abuse, infidelity, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and grief. Which i am ready to take on because I like to go out of my way to help others and do what i can to do my part.

 
I have considered the thought of the possibility of  becoming a teacher. I know that there would be challenges ahead because children are hard to maintain. I do like the ability to teach a person something that they've never knew before, it's a pretty fascinating thing. I am aware that in order to pursue this career i need to maintain many requirements. It might be a challenge as i could see my personal teachers take on everyday, but who doesn't like a challenge...

Lego Robotic Building

     While working and experimenting specifically with a lego robot I've had a good experience. The experience was as well challenging. Since I experienced it first hand,it was quite a good opportunity and experience to actually hand build a robot by hand.

     I believe the most challenging part was to follow the instructions and actually building the pieces together. The programming was quite simple, didn't have much obstacles. I personally loved the fact that i could program a robot to make some type of noises and can move. I haven't ever seen a robot have the ability to do so much in person. I thinks it's sort of fascinating experimenting robot.

   In conclusion building the lego robot was sort of challenging in ways but turned out to be simple and was fun.

About Me

 A little about me is, most people like to refer to me as Lani instead of Noelani a certain reason is because my name is too difficult for them to say or pronounce.I have 3 siblings, 1 older brother, 2 younger sisters. My brother's name is Noel Galvan,16yrs, my younger sister's name is Sumerae Galvan,13yrs, my youngest sister's name is Naomi Galvan,11yrs old and they all attend ELC. My best friend is Christian Callejas, we've been knowing each other since we attended elementary school. He took a journey with me and we both joined cross country and SRLA last year, it was an amazing experience. We both would like to take the same journey once more this year. 

    I am a Cross Country Runner for Elizabeth Learning Center, last year i let our team to  City Premiums, this year I'd like to take us to state.I am an athletic person. I really love to run, and it is something i would like to continue doing for as long as i can. Last year I ran the LA Marathon, 26.2 miles part of the SRLA program. I ran the marathon with my best friends Christian Callejas  and grew closer while we were taking this journey.
  What i like to learn in this particular class,is how to create and work with robotics and how to further discover how computers work. I'd like to discover and learn how to create games and websites. There are so many unique and creative things you can do with computers, and I'd like to further experience and learn how to do these things. My main priorities in this specific class is to learn how to create websites and to just have a wonderful experience in this class. I have very little experience in computer but it is helpful, i hope too learn more!
